Greek Gods
“Greek Gods” is depicting the head of a classical Greek sculpture disintegrating into floating blocks of stone. The piece embodies the erosion of myth, memory and the passage of time. The broken but floating pieces of marble illustrate the idea that even the greatest legends and civilizations are subject to fragmentation. The beauty and perfection once captured in the image of a god are now remnants of a bygone era, caught between preservation and decay. By breaking open the godlike visage, the artwork reflects how history is reconstructed, remembered and sometimes distorted. It is a commentary on how cultural symbols evolve but remain incomplete in contemporary understanding. The message of the “Greek Gods” emphasizes the fragility of heritage and the ever-changing interpretation of history. It invites the viewer to reflect on the nature of immortality – not as a fixed, flawless ideal, but as something subject to the forces of time, reinterpretation and human understanding.
